Politics of France[edit | edit source]

During Times of War.[edit | edit source]

The central political debate of the french people has always been, and always will be on whether to stage a revolution or to surrender to any invader. A great example of this was at the end of the Franco-Prussian War, when most of France surrendered to Prussia when the emperor was captured, the citizens of Paris decided to stage a revolution resulting in the founding of the Paris Commune.

Paris Commune[edit | edit source]

The Paris Commune when Paris tried to declare independence from France as its capital city. It is also proof that france was not always completely controlled by the citizens of Paris.

Historical Background[edit | edit source]

At the end of the Franco-Prussian War when most of France surrendered to Prussia when the emperor was captured, the citizens of Paris decided to stage a revolution and declare independence resulting in the founding of the Paris Commune. This illustrates the tension faced betwixt the twin French impulses for surrender and revolt.

Government[edit | edit source]

Culture[edit | edit source]

The culture of the Paris Commune was rather quite nimbyist, as in they didn't want to be bossed around, the Prussians can go over to Marsailles and Alsace Loraine, just get out of our city. They were the last holdout against prussia even though Bismark just wanted to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Downfall[edit | edit source]

Anarcho-Syndicalist English Peasants' Commune[edit | edit source]

The Anarcho-Syndicalist English Peasants' Commune was a part of england in during the reign of Kind Arthur in the 10th century AD. It was the only part of england, save for the french castles, that refused to recognise his rule, insisting their own independence. The Anarcho-Syndicalist English Peasants Commune was lead by Dennis the peasant, who nobly and bravely stood up to king arthur, criticising the outdated imperialist ideology that the feudal system of medieval england was based on.
