Template:Succession incumbent/doc

Like {{succession box}}, but for current monarchs and other people currently holding a title.

This template must be placed between {{start box}} and {{end box}} in order to be formatted correctly. This allows for more than one copy of this template to be placed in the same box.

Usage

heir and heir-type

Additionally, you can specify the incumbent's current "Heir apparent" (the person who will replace them once they croak, or step down, or whatnot) with the {{{heir}}} parameter.

You can even replace the default "Heir apparent" text with the parameter {{{heir-type}}}. For example, this code will generate the succession incumbent box you see below.
