Ingredients[edit | edit source]
The classic recipe for disaster calls for the following ingredients:
- 1 egg
- ⅔ cup of olive oil
- ¼ cup of vinegar
- ½ tablespoons of salt
- ½ teaspoon of politics
- 1 suspicious bearded man
- mutual distrust to taste
Steps[edit | edit source]
- Separate the yolk from the white of the egg. Allow the yolk to sit at room temperature for 48 hours.
- Combine the yolk with the salt, olive oil and vinegar.
- Add the politics. All hell should break loose. Due to all hell breaking loose, the mixture should now be hot enough to cook the egg white. Add the egg white.
- Allow egg white to begin cooking before adding your suspicious bearded man.
Sprinkle with mutual distrust. Serve warm. No seriously, serve it while its still warm, or it will rapidly become too hot to handle. You want to be out of there before the disaster finishes cooking.
Serving suggestions[edit | edit source]
A delightful chicken salad can be made from the above mixture. Blanche chicken breast for approximately 30 seconds. After cooling, dice the chicken into 1-inch cubes. Mix the chicken with the Disaster. Add capers and celery to this mixture. Add several tablespoons of salt. Serve with multiple glasses of beer and wine. Children love this! (Especially the beer and wine)
