Ode to Pink Shirt Guy
Oh Pink Shirt Guy
I do so salute you dearly.
Pressed cotton button-up...
A polo with collar stays?
In the waiting room you sit
knowing that the blonde
will not share her bed with you.
No no, not with you.
But still, you speak of existentialism,
weather and social conscious.
All she sees is the soft light's gleem
reflected by your bald spot.
Press on, Pink Shirt Guy.
You ask for that number!
So what if her eyes say no!
You are the king of reception!
And when she walks away
you'll carry on, rosey-clothed warrior.
For some day so very soon,
you'll meet the one that cares.
