“Give me a croquette now, you fucking donkey!”

~ Also from Mr. CROKET

Today we have a special guest who is skilled in the circus. Let's welcome one of the greatest Japanese comedians, Captain Hiroshi "Croket" Takigawa, (滝川広志) or Korokke for short, because he eats a lot of a meal which makes him fat, is a Japanese comedian and entertainer. More dangerously, he's an impersonator. He is famous for his hilarious face changing that will make you laugh like a horse, but it's hard to say that, since he has more than fifty different expressions. He graduated from Kumamoto Daiichi Technical High School and has a nice life in Tokyo. He also once appeared in a Japanese game show just to defeat an unknown commoner. The funny thing is, he got defeated by an old geezer in a Japanese game show.

Biography[edit | edit source]

He debuted in 1980 on Nippon TV's A Comedy Star is Born with a repertoire of more than three hundred songs, ranging from celebrity impersonations to his famous robotic hip-hop dance. He appeared in Owarai Star Tanjo!! After his debut, he became famous in TV impersonation programs. He also appeared on the show Ichi Shuu Meguri Te Shiranai Hanashi. He candidly confessed about some episodes that were hard for him to know, with the big names he impersonated, the speechlessness rule of the impersonation industry, the business model, and some other behind-the-scenes stories from the industry.

In 2014, he received the Commissioner's Award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and in 2016, the Japan Entertainment Award, for his many years of contributions to the promotion of arts and culture as an impersonator. He also got the Golden Oscar Award shortly after that.

When the photographer pointed his lens at him, he said, "Shall I take a picture of this face too?" and pushed his glasses aside then making some funny faces, yep he's also continuing this behavior on a funeral in Yuzuriha, too.
