This poor chimp's fine house was destroyed when the housing bubble burst. This is particularly sad because when a human being's house is destroyed they can go to a nearby shelter or stay with friends until they get back on their feet. But the shelters don't like chimps, and the chimps usually don't have any friends nearby. That means they're basically forced out of their homes and onto the street, where they are sometimes attacked by dogs and children.
