Forum:Top10
Ummm... about time to end this whole ordeal and post the results, don't you think. I mean maybe another week, it just doesn't seem to have gotten much action for awhile. I guess if you posted a link on the main page, which I've been suggesting this entire time, It might get more. Otherwise I say end it now, but before we do we have to figure out what to do with the results. t o m p k i n s blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 23:29, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Was this ever listed in an obvious public place (ie. link from the front page)? I remember it showing up in the Dump but then it fell down below other things and I forgot about it. I'm going to go vote now, but I want to make sure that enough people know about it before we close voting. --Sir gwax (talk) 17:05, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
- As far as I know it was only spoken of at the dump, and on IRC. I can't change the main page, obviously, but if someone would like to post a little something about it, it would probably help get a few more votes at least. Make it more fair and democratic. t o m p k i n s blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 23:30, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I'm going to put a link on the front page for at least a few days. Then we need to decide what to do about them after the Top 10 have actually been decided. I'm in favor of suspending the regular featured articles and featuring one new Top 10 article each day, counting down from 10 to 1. It might create a bit of a buildup at VFH, but it'd be a good way to give nooblets a look at some of the best stuff at Uncyc. --—rc (t) 05:10, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

The vote on whether to carry 2006 featured articles forward to the "Best of 2006" was abandoned back at Ye Olde Village Dumpe as a stalemate. So... are we leaving the arbitrary line that allowed some 2006 articles in as-is? ~ T. (talk) 14:28, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
I axed the bit about write-ins on Uncyclopedia:Top10 (there Y^3) because, trust me, write-ins are the absolute last thing we want to allow if this goes public. --Sir gwax (talk) 15:47, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Heh, that was a bit of an inside joke, mainly between me and myself. But yeah, I agree, stuff could get mighty scary. Oh, and I like Rcs idea. The articles on VFH haven't been recieving that many votes anyway, so this could help them catch up a little bit. t o m p k i n s blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 23:05, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oh and does anyone mind if I make the rule that you can only vote for each article once. Because Stm kind of took advantage of that minor loophole, as well as MrJimmy. t o m p k i n s blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 23:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

The authors of the winning articles should recieve some kind of award too.--Rataube 02:17, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Ok, it got enough attention by now, I think we should do what Rc said for the las ten days of March. Anyone agree??? --Rataube 16:29, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- In both the Forum and on IRC I suggested March 10 as the first day to start featuring the Top 10, and nobody has disagreed, so I think it's a go for then unless somebody has an objection. Until then we might as well leave the voting open. --—rc (t) 02:21, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's o.k. What about a template similar to the VFH winner for this?--Rataube 10:39, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Cut-off Point in Limbo
So did we ever resolve the issue concerning our cut-off point for articles on Top10? It seems that at this point it is easiest to leave it the way it is. Currently there are three articles that were featured in 2006 that are likely to be in the top 10 (you can tell because of the asterixes). ---Rev. Isra (talk) 06:55, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
