SEATTLE, WA — In a move that has already been nominated for Troll of the Year, Seattle's local World Cup organizing committee—in close coordination with FIFA—has chosen a match between two of the world's most homosexually oppressive regimes to be their official "Gay Pride Match". The decision to highlight the group stage match between Egypt and Iran initially caused concern among MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ rights activists (before the woke mob ordered them to toe the line) and has absolutely outraged homophobes all over the world.
Seattle is hosting four group stage matches and two knockout stage matches at the 23rd FIFA World Cup. Regarding the Gay Pride Match selection, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson trolled, "Come on, it was always gonna be Egypt versus Iran. Who else could it have possibly been? America and Australia? Two countries where gays enjoy full marriage and adoption rights while homodiscrimination is expressly forbidden by law? Bitch, please..."
Perhaps even more impressive than Seattle's selection is FIFA's stance on the Gay Pride Match. President of FIFA Gianni Infantile released the following statement:
“I insist that there is no official "Gay Pride Match". I mean we flex more power than most governments wherever we want. We ban host cities from partnering with any beverage manufacturers that didn't bribe us. We told gay fans not to attend the last World Cup in Qatar. We mandated hydration breaks which were definitely about hydration not commercial revenue while banning fans from bringing water to games. But my hands are tied on this one. Oh and remember I totally know what it means to be discriminated. Today I feel gay.”

The genius of this troll is how it equally attacks both sides. Western liberals quickly criticized Seattle and FIFA for celebrating homophobia but immediately flip flopped as soon as Ben Affleck calmly screamed at the top of his lungs, "THAT'S RACIST!!" For liberals, nothing is more important than the R-word. The Egyptian and Iranian federations issued a joint statement condemning Seattle's insensitivity: "We can't believe that a government would ever ignore the feelings of others when making big decisions that affect other people. These celebrations contradict the cultural, religious, and social 'values' of the Arabic and Islamic communities, which are that we will kill anyone who disagrees in the slightest."
