The Super Player Feature™ (In Latin: Super Player Feet) is a feature developed by the CEO of Valve Gabe Jewell (Gaben) for the famous Jew game "Half-Life 2" in an attempt to save it from one of the most powerful entities out there, old age. In 2002, Gaben Half-life 2 was falling off and would soon be considered “old.” Gaben knew he needed a new and innovative feature for the old game so he created The Super Player Feature™. The Super Player Feature™ addresses the most prominent issue in all retro games, the ability to easily enable Bluetooth via the “Super Bluetooth Feature™”. The Super Player Feature™ is also known for letting you use 8K ultra DLSS upscaled graphics with raytracing on a 2004 video game.

History[edit | edit source]

When Half-Life 2 first came out, Gaben realised that in 16 years or so, the game would be considered old, and no one would play it. So, to save the game, Gaben made the Super Player Feature™. It wasn’t until, 16 years later, until the feature was actually released due to Valve efficiency.

Features[edit | edit source]

The Super Player Feature™ is a technological marble that brings lit content no one asked for to save the game from being called retro. Features include:

  • Super Bluetooth feature™

This feature fixes a huge known issue with old video games, the tangled cables. Now you don’t need to fuck around with tangled wires, instead you can use your ‘’wireless’’ headset and get into the game instantly while your friends have to burn five minutes off their lifespan to untangle the mess of cables. Valve was clearly looking out for their playerbase because whose gonna buy their games when customers don’t have time.

  • Green mode™

Green mode™ is one of the most cutting edge and innovative features of the Super Player Feature™. Unlike the Bluetooth feature, this actually does something useful by making your entire screen. “Half-Life 2 was dull and boring. But now with Green mode™, you can show off your high-tech console while your friends wonder if you're colourblind or you’re a tree hugger!” Gaben stated when asked what the hell he was on.

  • 4K graphics™

Since the Half-Life 2 has shitty graphics, the Super Player Feature™ was implemented as a graphics overhaul. This feature is amazing because it will make a 2004 game run at 100x the max settings which definitely won’t make your console hotter than the sun.

In addition to all of this, the Super Player Feature™ also comes with a manual for ease of use.

How to enable[edit | edit source]

Enabling the Super Player Feature™ feature is known to be as easy as use the Ubuntu Linux package manager. You just need to enter $~ sudo apt obtain Super Player Feature™ into the console because clearly making your screen green requires administrative privileges.

Gaben claims this “cost saving” stating, “I can’t be bothered to make my own command that enables the Super Player Feature™. So I’ll just rip it off Linux! It’s open-source after all.”

References in game[edit | edit source]

The Super Player Feature™ is known for being referenced by the character "Gman"(Alternatively known as "Green Man" or "Garry's Man") in the ending of Half-Life with famous quotes such as: "Looks like you forgot to enable the Super Player Feature™", "My employers recommend you enable the Super Player Feature™.", "The Super Player Feature™ is literally", and many more.

Gabe Newell was known for overworking. He most likely was very tired when starting the development of the Super Player Feature™.

in 2002 the super player feature would later incorporate green mode graphical processing, taking inspiration from the yet to be released devil may cry 3, and it's green mode features which were unfinished due to time constraints and left as a hidden easter egg.

Gabe's statements on the feature[edit | edit source]

In 1999 there was a leaked interview by an unknown party where they asked Gabe Newell about the feature. It seems that Valve has a policy of not mentioning it to surprise player whenever they discover it.

"The what?" -Gabe Newell in the interview

It is also theorized that Gabe made The Super Player Feature™ whilst going through some sort of psychosis and has since completely forgotten about it.

Controversy[edit | edit source]

Piracy[edit | edit source]

On release, if the game detected itself to be a pirated copy it would automatically disable the ability to enable the Super Player Feature™. This caused massive riots outside of Valve's headquarters which cause the destruction of the twin towers with at least 3 reported deaths but was later fixed with a patch allowing evil scummy pirates to enable the Super Player Feature™.

Apple Lawsuit[edit | edit source]

When Half-Life was ported the the 1st generation IPod Touch(Which did not have Bluetooth support), activating The Super Player Feature™ would enable the secret Bluetooth module anyways, thus bypassing the need to buy a 2nd gen IPod. This costed Apple an estimated 750 million USD in revenue from sales and ended in Apple versus Valve lawsuit which was settled outside of court for 500 million USD and a large soda.
