Every time I try it, I get this:

| Internal error Unknown error at restriction save time.

Wikia bug. In their attempts to speed up the runnination of these things, among other things, they made it so the servers can take an hour or more to recognise that pages have been deleted, and thus in that interval the protection options you get for newly deleted pages aren't the ones for nonexistent pages, and thus they don't work. sannse says it's not exactly a priority to fix blah blah, seeing as it only affects admins. 1234 ~ 13:54, 28 September 2011
