Considering this website is pretty much a message board at this point, I wanted to get the community's input before implementing a few tweaks to the current logo. To give you an idea of of what it looks like in action, my proposal can be seen in the top left corner of this very page thanks to the fakelogo template (which is probably gonna be broken if you're some Canadian cock who uses monobook, so either switch to a real skin or use your imagination). Using the existing colors, I changed some sliders around to soften the colors and add a few shadows back in, including the sorely missed drop-shadow. In my opinion, the softer colors theoretically make the logo look a little more Wikipedia-like, and while Wikipedia doesn't use a shadow for their globe, it feels... just wrong for the potato not to have one, for many different reasons. Additionally, the bottom text now closely matches Wikipedia in terms of hinting and opacity.

It's a shame we didn't foresee these issues during the last vote, but the logo probably needed to be scaled down and sat on for a while in order to detect them, as minor as they are. Overall, I feel these tweaks make the logo look a little less rough around the edges, and I'm open to more suggestions. I like it, but I think the subtitle is a bit too light at the moment. Not sure anyone else's feeling on it, but it's a little hard to read. A bit bolder and I'm sold. The Woodburninator Minimal Effort ™ 17:33, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
