Hey, congratulations!!!
For voting for DiZ as Author of the Month , DiZ has awarded you by killing a martyr in your name! Don't feel guilty, he didn't pay his taxes anyways.
-- DiZ the Great

...particularly since you were also one of the candidates. Thank you for the UnBook of the Month vote, too. As you may tell by viewing my recent contributions, I've dedicated this day to going around sticking this ugly-ass template up on every User's talk page that voted for me, so don't think you're special. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) No probs. You will be a deserving winner of the second UnAuthor of the Month... that is, barring a late surge. Which probably won't happen. -- Hindleyite 20:56, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Editting

I'm sad. The last 2 deadend articles you editted I was like just minutes into editting. Can we share the work? I've been editting excessive redlinks and deadends recently because I've had writers block. Please.--User:Tom mayfair/Sig 13:00, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Why thank you. I really ought to do something similar to show my appreciation to everyone who supported me.... I've been too busy deleting crud. I should get round to it. An equal congrats on your adminship also. -- Hindleyite 10:56, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

The Marree Men

Hi, there! I don't know if you are interested or not, but, really, would you please take the lead in this coordinated effort? As you might have noticed I am about to leave uncyc to pursue better things in my life, and since you are now an admin and has the power to safeguard the project in its course, I am quite happy to leave the whole thing to you. Besides, I am rather tired of carrying this burden while being overlooked and bullied by those who don't hasitate to tear things apart for the sake of their own agendas. We have got quite a few darn good individuals in our clan, like Armando and Bk, and if you ask them, they will help. And don't worry - being a mere overseas student myself, I don't know much about Australia either. Put your trust in your own people, and you'll be fine.

Consider this a desertion, not an offer, and if you don't think you are up to the task or have the spare time for it, leave it to someone trustworthy, like Mhaille, MoneySign or Codeine. Don't just toss it around thinking someone sincere would just come and pick it up, or out the window it will be!

The future of The Marree Men is now in your hand.

-- The Colonel (talk) 05:05, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, I shall look after it for you. Since I became an admin (about three days ago) I've been too busy deleting stuff. I'm sure once the novelty of it all wears off I'll come back to it. -- Hindleyite 10:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! And don't forget to announce this on the Marree Men page. -- The Colonel (talk) 11:56, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Will do. -- Hindleyite 12:00, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Blair audio

It was a pleasure to read the story. There's something about Tony Blaire that I find intrinsically funny anyway, so you just tipped the balance to an unbalanced equation... or something... I dont get this website

Are you an admin or something?? What is huffing and why do you keep doing it?

Hello. Yes, I am now an admin, I am ashamed to admit. 'Huffing' is a slang term for 'deleting' here, most often articles. It comes from a rather weird craze for 'kitten huffing' which everyone on the site was mental about a while back. Don't ask me why, it happened before I got here. As for me deleting stuff, I am under orders to delete clear vanity ("my mate sucks", "I am the best" etc), one-line articles and other such rubbish. I hope this answers your question. :) -- Hindleyite 16:36, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Unpology

Hindleyite, let me begin by congratulating you on this whole becoming-an-admin thing. I don't think I've ever discussed anything with you before (have I?) but I've always been impressed by your work! However, the main reason I'm writing this is not to suck up and curry favor — naaah, I would never do such a thing. The fact is, I hadn't noticed the existence of UnBooks:Unversity before tonight, when I was browsing category names and happened to see it listed. True, it's... smallish, and I think I'm finally getting to the point where I'm no longer laughing at the animated admin stick-figure thingy, but I should have checked more thoroughly for pre-existing pages, and (assuming I'd seen it then) consulted you before I started on Uncycloversity. Anyway, I didn't, so for that I apologize.

If you're interested, we could maybe do more to integrate the two (UnBooks and Uncycloversity)... I personally wouldn't bother with it, since I think both are looking perfectly OK as-is, but if it's something you'd really like to do anyway then feel free — or let me know at some point and I'll try to help out! (That's sort of what they're supposedly doing over at "Wikiversity," apparently.) And good luck with all that "adminny" stuff!  c • > • cunwapquc? 02:46, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

No need to apologise, man. Yes, the Unversity at UnBooks sucks, and it never gets updated so I will be happy to create a link to the much better Uncycloversity on the UnBooks main page. In fact, I also created a redirect. -- Hindleyite 10:35, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Page editing

I feel stupid for asking this, but is it possible to get the contents box automatically rather than having to create at least four headlines for one? -- Psychic Potato 11:35, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Nah, not that stupid a question. The solution is hidden deep within Wikipedia's imposing cavern of formatting and style guidelines, but who wants to trawl through all that? Just stick __FORCETOC__ including the underscores at the position you want the contents box on the page. Hope this answers your question. :) -- Hindleyite 11:39, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

The Blaques

I can't believe you deleted 'The Blaques'. Millions of people were laughing about it. It was a comical honouring of a famous organization. I'm shocked and appauled.

Well, you see, Uncyclopedia does not generally accept vanity: that is, stuff only funny to relatively few people. After doing a Google search, I noticed the same article was deleted from Wikipedia as vanity - that was enough for me to delete it. There are some exceptions to this: really funny material, for instance. Since you queried the deletion. I will restore the article to your user namespace for editing on the condition that you make it funny and you read the Vanity policies before you move it to the main namespace, OK dude? And that's a big condition. And if it's still not funny, some other admin might delete it.
Restored version is here. -- Hindleyite 11:56, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Proposed Marree Man Awards

Ok. After several hours of headdesking, I finally came up with an award system exclusive for The Marree Man. See if you like it.

The whole system is comprised 3 awards:

 1. "Marree Man of the Month" Award
 2. "Australian Article of the Month" Award
 3. Monthly "Shrimp on the Barbie" Award

"Marree Man of the Month" Award

Summary

This award is to be offered monthly to a member of The Marree Men who has displayed overall excellence in Australia-related contributions, which include, but not limited to, full-length articles, major article rewrites and original images. No award shall be granted to the said member unless he/she has been nominated by a member of The Marree Men prior to the nomination deadline (end of each calender month according to Uncyclopedia server time) and has received the highest vote count amongst other legitimate nominees. A voting page will be set up for the vote.

Granting Procedure

 1. Nomination period begins on the second day of each month (Uncyclopedia server time).
 2. User names of potential winners are posted on the nomination page. Removal of a nominee from the said page is not to be performed unless: 1) the nominee is not a member of The Marree Man, 2) the nominee has been blocked within the said nomination period by an Uncyclopedia adminstrator on the basis of vandalism, and/or 3) the nomination entry is posted by the nominee him/herself. The said removal is to be performed by a Marree Man elder (ie. you) only.
 3. At the end of the nomination period, or the "nomination deadline", the nomination page is full-protected and the nominee that has received the most valid votes (i.e. votes with untempered time stamps and casted by members of The Marree Man) is announced the winner of the award.
 4. On the second day of the following month, the nomination page is unprotected and all votes and comments are purged for a new nomination period. The archiving of the votes and comments on the perious winner is not required but recommended.

"Australian Article of the Month" Award

Summary

This award serves as a monthly highlight of a noteworthy, Australia-related article. In each nomination period (from the second day to the last day of each calender month; Uncyclopedia server time), articles from the "Australia" category are nominated and voted on by members of The Marree Men and the one with the highest vote count at the end of the said period receives the highlight. A voting page will be set up for the vote.

Granting Procedure

 1. Nomination period begins on the second day of each month (Uncyclopedia server time).
 2. Articles for highlight are posted by members of The Marree Man on the nomination page. Removal of a nominee from the said page is not to be performed unless: 1) the nominee is not in the "Australia" category, 2) the nominee has been deemed unworthy by a Marree Man elder as part of the "Australia" article collection, 3) the nominee has been listed on the "QVFD" page, and/or 4) the nominee contains one or more of these maintanence tags: a) the NRV template, b) the stub template, c) template(s) and/or markups that place(s) the nominee under the "stub" category, and d) the vfd template . The said removal is to be performed by a Marree Man elder (ie. you) only.
 3. At the end of the nomination period, or the "nomination deadline", the nomination page is full-protected and the nominee that has received the most valid votes (i.e. votes with untempered time stamps and casted by members of The Marree Man) is declared the "Australian Article of the Month".
 4. On the second day of the following month, the nomination page is unprotected and all votes and comments are purged for a new nomination period. The archiving of the votes and comments on the perious winning article is not required but recommended.

Monthly "Shrimp on the Barbie" Award

Summary

This award serves as a monthly highlight of a Australia-related article that displays an appreciable extent of humour and considerable accessibility to those who are not familiar with Australia as a subject. In each nomination period (from the second day to the last day of each calender month; Uncyclopedia server time), articles from the "Australia" category are nominated by the "non-Aussie" members (as they identify themselves as on the sign-up page) of The Marree Men for this particular highlight and voted on by all Uncyclopedia users (both registered and unregistered users). Nominee with the highest vote count at the end of the nomination period receives the highlight. A voting page will be set up for the vote.

Granting Procedure

 1. Nomination period begins on the second day of each month (Uncyclopedia server time).
 2. Articles for highlight are posted by "non-Aussie" members of The Marree Man on the nomination page. Removal of a nominee from the said page is not to be performed unless: 1) the nominee is not in the "Australia" category, 2) the nominee has been deemed unworthy by a Marree Man elder as part of the "Australia" article collection, 3) the nominee has been listed on the "QVFD" page, and/or 4) the nominee contains one or more of these maintanence tags: a) the NRV template, b)the stub template, c) template(s) and/or markups that place(s) the nominee under the "stub" category, and d) the vfd template . The said removal is to be performed by a Marree Man elder (ie. you) only.
 3. Every user is free to vote for or against a Monthly Shrimp on the Barbie candidate during the nomination period. However, each anonymous (IP) vote carry only half the weight of a vote from a registered user.
 4. At the end of the nomination period, or the "nomination deadline", the nomination page is full-protected, and the nominee that has received the most valid votes (i.e. votes with untempered time stamps) is declared the "Monthly Shrimp on the Barbie".
 5. On the second day of the following month, the nomination page is unprotected and all votes and comments are purged for a new nomination period. The archiving of the votes and comments on the perious winning article is not required but recommended.

Whoa, dude, that's kind of comprehensive :). Whilst I think it's a good idea to have awards for groups such as the Maree Men a la Wikipedia, I dunno about all this nomming and voting - I was thinking along the lines of keeping it small scale. If you want to volunteer as the principal maintainer of the upkeep of the award, sure, but I was thinking of something like users can earn a golden Steve Irwin memorial trophy for courage given to those who defend the Australia-related articles from vandals, etc. You know, just a small thing rather than along the lines of UOTM or WOTM. Either way, I'll lend you some guidance when I can, but I've kind of had my hands full since becoming an admin. -- Hindleyite 12:36, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

The Marree Men again

Here's another award idea:

The "Grand Steve Irwin Medal"

Summary

This award is to be offered on a monthly basis by a Marree Man elder to a member, or members, of The Marree Men who have displayed excellence in Australia-related contributions, which include, but not limited to, full-length articles, major article rewrites, minor article edits and original images. Modelled after the AFL "Charles Brownlow Trophy", the "Grand Steve Irwin Medal" is considered an honour for the "fairest and best" members of the Marree Men and is not to be granted to those who are found to have been blocked for one or more bannable offenses, such as vandalism and flame warring, within the month in question.

Granting Procedure

 1. A Marree Men elder checks the contribution records of a member of The Marree Man for contributions that the said Marree Men elder finds excellent within a given month.
 2. The said elder checks the block logs for any offenses committed by the said member. Members who were blocked for a) vandalism, b) abusive behaviour and/or c)edit/flame warring at some time during the given month are not eligible for the honour represented by the Grand Steve Irwin Medal.
 3. The said Marree Men elder compiles an undisclosed list of potential receivers of the Grand Steve Irwin Medal of the said given month by repeating Steps 1 and 2.
 4. Once the said elders decides that the said list of potential receivers is completed, a potential receiver from the said list is selected and granded The "Grand Steve Irwin Medal" of the said given month. A Grand Steve Irwin Medal of a month is to be offered by a Marree Men elder to a member of The Marree Man only once.
 5. The Grand Steve Irwin Medal of the said given month is placed on the receiver's userpage. Any Grand Steve Irwin Medal placed on a userpage by anyone other than a Marree Man elder is considered invalid and is to be removed immediately from the said userpage upon sighting.

Yes, congrats on the feature. It's one of those articles that everyone can relate to. Even if the writing was only half as good as it is, I think it would have still been featured, cos the concept's almost universal, like Handgun. -- Hindleyite 15:33, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Escher sketch

I agree, it is better...and I would have been the bigger man and nom'd that instead, but a cursory google image search shows a bunch of variants on that pun, including one that's virtually identical. I'm not saying anyone cribbed from anyone else (indeed, the probability is that people arrived at similar solutions at about the same time. Like radio, with Marconi and...um...Tesla?), but if it appeared on VFP someone would check the web and, well, it would probably enough to sour the vote. Mhaille's the man, in my book. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 14:04, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Escher Sketch is funny, but would probably be shot down from VFP in a flash like a clay pigeon. Your version is more original, hence the 'for' vote. Another successful graduate of Reefer Desk, methinks. -- Hindleyite 14:24, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure Escher-Sketch would do well on VFP (if it weren't for the above issues), but then what do I know?--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 14:47, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, you never know until you try, but I reckon it wouldn't do as well as the David one, because more people will have heard of Michaelangelo than MC Escher. Plus, the Potatochop is a lot simpler. -- Hindleyite 15:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Of course more people have heard of Michaelangelo; he's a ninja turtle! Did Escher ever fight the Foot Clan? No!...sorry, slipped back to my childhood again. It happens sometimes. Actually, that's where most of my parody pages came from. Ah, wasted youth. Beautiful, beautiful wasted youth.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 15:59, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
That ought to be the motto of Uncyclopedia. And of course MC was a ninja turtle: he was the mental one they kept locked in the depths of the sewers, dude. -- Hindleyite 16:02, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Really? Cool! Or, rather, wicked! I never kept up with the "expanded universe" stuff. It pretty much fell apart after the first movie anyways...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:10, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure Escher Sketch would do well on VFP, but then I was surprised that Voynich Manuscript got featured or that The Wicker Man is doing so well on VFH (even without Hindleyite's patented vote-whoring technique). Sometimes images and articles have a limited audience.
Regarding MDs image on Reefer Desk I wasn't looking for mine to replace his in anyway, I think the image more than stands up for itself already, and it'll be getting my vote. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
Praise from Caesar. I just got a tablet, so more recent pics are easier to make (it's tough using a mouse to simulate a pencil...sometimes, as with the header pic for Suburban homeboy, I used to sketch on paper, scan it, and use the computer to add detail and colour).--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:35, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

No problem, always happy to help a fellow Uncyclopedian. That's why I set up Reefer Desk in the first place. I like the play on words in the 'Defender of the Clown', reminds me of Age of Umpires, Microsoft's hit cricket video game... As for the pics, if you keep coming back to them and making them better each time, you'll be able to work in any new ideas you have along the way. -- Hindleyite 10:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Ummm

What's that one "Fact" template. You know, blah blah "we dont traffic in facts"? --Anyone 20:30, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

I think you're referring to the factual template, which is for example, used on articles with traces of truth in them, such as Chicken Gun, pretty much a spork from Wikipedia. -- Hindleyite 10:44, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, that's the one. It appears my vague description was adaquate afterall! Thanks. --Anyone 12:39, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia of the Month

Thanks for your vote. Good luck and I hope that you win. I think that you will because you are more well known than me. Maybe November will be my month if October is your month? --Lt. Orion Blastar (talk) 22:24, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Gasp, the Great Orion Blastar of ancient Uncyclopedian lore gracing my talk page! I have the utmost respect for anyone who's survived Uncyclopedia longer than Mhaille... Well, whoever wins, as you say, I'm sure the other will win next month. Personally I'm not that bothered but it would be nice to get some (more) recognition. Good luck to you sir. -- Hindleyite 10:55, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah....you only get 10 months for murder now. Back to the chaingang...... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
Not unless you know how to hide the bodies, so they won't be found. Then they cannot convict you. Ah well it will be me and Hindleyite until a third canidate is added or more. England page

Votewhore01.png

Seems like some people with unfunny and petty-racist proclivities have latched onto the England page...me and another are trying to tidy it up.

How do I alert an admin if this spirals into 'warfare'?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll keep an eye out for you and ban the next person to mess with the England article. -- Hindleyite 17:34, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey! Someone took a bite out of it!

Yes, I have a cookie now

Yesihavecookies extends his warm "thank you's" to you. I am his representative, Ace Cannon. I'm a journalist and I punch people in the face that don't give me the truth. I'm going to give it to you straight: Yesihavecookies is a wiener who barely knows the first thing about uncyclopedia. He wrote an article on Thomas Hobbes first band: Thomas Hobbes & The pessimists, but he doesn't know things like how you did that cookie thing. If you could extend any help to him in the way of some of the ways of short cuts, posting templates, and other funny things it would be much appreciated. In return he would be more than estatic to help you in rewriting and expanding articles of your own.

--Yesihavecookies 18:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, Ace, you can tell Yesihavecookies that if he has any problems he can just ask here, and I'll do my best to help out. Best advice I can give is just to learn by copying formatting from other users and pages. For example, for the cookie award thingy, go to your userpage and click 'edit' to see what I inserted to award it to you. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Reefer Desk - Use it | Converse 19:04, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Ace Cannon finding the truth wherever he may be.
Thank you for the extension of friendship. Yesihavecookies will ask you if he is in need of some sort of assistance. Until then, keep telling the truth.
With Love,

That is good for you. Did you enjoy the imitations addition that Yesihavecookies added to the HowTo: Learn Guitar, or did they basically suck? I know they're not really the truth. I hate this website. I'm a dignified journalist. I seek, eat, sleep, shit, and talk the truth. This website it nothing but lies. It makes me want to throw up all over myself. Yesihavecookies is feeling that he is grasping more of an understanding of uncyclopedia. He is happy. He also made a blues oriented addition to the Vincent Van Gogh page. Congratulations on winning n00b of the month. This month is the month of you.

As soon as I arrive back from my holiday, certainly! However I am currently using a remote IP in the Canary Islands, and will be back on the 9th July. I also see that someone nommed HowTo: Learn Guitar at VFH. Wahoo! -- Hindleyite (somewhere in Lanzarote with a terrible keyboard with no tildes). 3rd July 2006, 14.24 Local Time

Glad you like it. Thanks also for nomming the diceman. I went away for a while and watch Bob Dylan DVD's, so when I came back I decided to be more reclusive and focus on the writing. It's good to see you like the stuff. Hopefully I'll be churning out more soon. I think I'll nom the remote 3000 thing you did. Yeah, I was going to nom Dice Man ages ago, but totaly forgot about it. Looking at your userpage reminded me to do so. That Devil Reefer Desk

So I was, umm... partaking of some ketchup and I thought, "Hey, what may give people more incentive to go through the proper channels and use Image Review before self-nomming willy-nilly straight to VFP?" And the answer struck me (after three additional hits of ketchup) — another worthless template a DIPLOMA! So I rolled something up; it's a bit tight and draws pretty hard, but I think overall I did an ok job with it. Maybe when an image graduates from Image Review and is subsequently featured, we might wanna place this on it along with the Featured Image Template.... whatcha think? If you're not happy with the image, or the idea itself it's no big deal because as I've said, I'm all filled up on ketchup and will probably just sit and giggle either way. -- Imrealized 07:31, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Wow, I just now saw that Zombiebaron beat me to the punch on that one. Oops. Let the giggling begin. -- Imrealized 13:37, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome for the vote on the article. As for AOTM, I was holding my vote off as long as I could to see what others (namely SonhicChao) could come up with. However, I think your Garm article has probably tipped the balance in your favour, and you can count on my vote. In return, I would be grateful if you could take a look at HowTo: Be a Tramp and vote accordingly at VFH (Yeah, I know it's shameless whoring). One good turn deserves another, eh? Wiki twenty dollar

Twentydollarbill.jpg

Hi, where did you get the twenty dollar bill from? Me or did you find it somewhere else? I saw that you gave it to someone as a reward for something or payment for illegal activities, and I want to be cut in...and if you don't want to, then I will just have to take it and pout or something.-- Sir Severian Severian1.jpg CUN.png (Sprich mit mir!) Kraut.png 21:36, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Illegal activities? Me? Well, er, yes actually. I needed to pay Czar Yah for a plot on his userpage, so I just did a quick image search on Uncyclopedia and chose the funniest-looking one, which just so happened to be your Bush bill. I think you can have it back, though, the whole userpage renting things seems to have died off.
PS. Good Potatochop.--Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 10:12, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Good Photochop for someone I appropriated the image from...I don't have photochop. I have "The Gimp" a poor mans chopper, being that it was free and does all the same shit photochop can do. Thanks a bunch, dude

Oi! The things that Uncyclopedia has to offer ... no limits, unlike wiki-that-cannot-be-named, with their fancy old "facts". Anyways, you told me that if I needed help with anything to ask you or go to the Village Dump. So, my question is, how do I edit an article so that it adds a picture? I had the same trouble with the other wiki-that-cannot-be-named, as well, and I really want to add pictures to an article. I'm thinking that if I do google Images, I can get a pretty good picture and put in an Uncyclopedia, or even the wiki-that-cannot-be-named. Please respond, and thank you for all of your help. --Aidepolcycnu 17:29, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Hi, Aidepolcycnu. If you want to put an image in an article, you first need to upload your pic. Look for the 'Upload file' link in the toolbox on the left hand side below the search box. On the upload file screen, click 'Browse' to find the pic on your computer (if it's on Google, save it onto your comp first) and give the file a name. Next, enter the image source (if you know it) and any comments, then use the drop down box to enter the copyright details. If you aren't sure, just select 'stolen and used for the good of Uncyclopedia'.
Once you have hit upload, the file should be uploaded to the site database. To use the pic in an article, paste the following code where you want the image to appear:

where 'myimage' is the image you have uploaded. Hit the preview button to check if it works. It should, but if it doesn't, I've probably told you something wrong. :) --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 17:47, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, so you said the following to me:

On the upload file screen, click 'Browse' to find the pic on your computer (if it's on Google, save it onto your comp first) and give the file a name.

Look, uh ... I hate to admit it, but I'm not as good with computers as I like to think I am, and, to be honest, my computer is about one thousand years old (or it at least acts like it - no joke) and I don't know what you mean by 'save it on your computer first', because when I try to copy the image on "Wordpad" or "Paint", the image doesn't show up. 15:41, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Don't worry. I don't think anybody is as good at computers as they say they are. Try this: get the picture on the internet site up on your screen. Right click on it and select 'save picture as' from the menu that appears. Then, choose where to save the pic and hit 'save'. The image should now be stored on your computer somewhere. I presume you're using Windows: it'll probably be set to 'My Pictures' by default. Hope this helps you out. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 16:01, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

"My Pictures"? Wait - is that the same as "My Images"? Because I saved the picture in question, and I don't know exactly where it could be. --Aidepolcycnu 18:29, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Keep looking for it: it'll be somewhere on your hard drive, probably in 'My Documents'. If you really can't find it, load up the internet page and save the image again. This time, note the folder which you are saving it to. Hope this is helpful. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 18:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
 • Phew*

Okay, I got the image on the computer. Now, how do I make turn it into something like this:

--Aidepolcycnu 18:49, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Next, you have to upload the image to the Uncyclopedia database, then you can use that code to put it in your article like the ones you have on your userpage. To do this, click 'upload file' on the left, follow the instructions I gave you earlier, and hopefully it should work. :) --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 18:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Hoo! Well, let's see here ... y'know, that might seem pretty simple to you, but, honestly, I don't know how to work this damn thing as well as I used to think I could before. Maybe that's an exaggeration. Anyways, what I really want to do is take pictures from another wiki by going to the place where you edit the content and find where it says:

And put it on articles here. But see, I'll do that on Uncyclopedia images, and it'll work, but say if I go to Wikipedia and try to place its images on here, it won't let me. Do you know what I'm sayin'? -Aidepolcycnu 22:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Well, it is possible, I think, but it is recommended you really shouldn't. It's best to save it on your computer from another wiki then upload it to the Uncyclopedia pictures database so you can use it here. Don't worry about it, you'll get used to it all pretty soon, even if it takes you a while. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 10:04, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Is it because of the whole copyrighting thing? Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyways, thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. --Aidepolcycnu 13:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu
