Anyways i kind of had a question. How do you make those weird box things that they have on every Wikipedia article at the top. I wanted to start to spice up my home page and that would be a good start.

Anyways Happytimes, if you go on a wikipedia article, lets say Falcon, on the left you see a pictur in a box with a whole bunch of info in it, including its classification and species, and it goes a far way down the screen. How exactly do you make that box? Ah, I see what you are talking about. Those boxes are made up of recycled orphans ground up and mixed with pony tears.
Seriously though, that is simply a table with the data logically laid out. I stole the simple table on my page from Zana, but I'd recommend looking at Cat for a quicker simple example.

On the wiki Falcon article the following table for what you are talking about looks like this:

etc.

The {{Taxobox at the beginning actually references another bit of code (the {{taxobox}} template) found on another page on wiki somewhere = here. We also have a {{taxobox}} template here as well, but it is slightly different (with no explanation attached). You can view the source/edit the page to see how the {{taxobox}} works, but it can be really confusing for a new user. At this point I suggest you either do a simple table or use the existing template to get what you want. For example if you used the following it would only get you:

| image = Brown-Falcon,-Vic,-3.1.2008.jpg
| image_width = 220px
| image_caption = Brown Falcon
 Falco berigora

Because the template we have only has a few of the above items/terms. However if you copy and edit the main template you can make it say whatever you want... you can even make a template in your own userspace to reference whenever you want so your main userpage doesn't get bloated. • Try not to use to many quotes at the beginning of an article. You managed to pull it off in HowTo:Catch a grue though and haven't gone overboard in the others so I think you got this one. (You're a quick study, atta-boy.) I love how you follow advice.
• Watch your its and it's (or it's tits up for sure).
• Add some links. (But not in The Meaning of this Article, it works better without them I think.) Be clever.
• HowTo:Go Skydiving Without a Parachute ends weak. You always start off stronger than you finish I think. (I used to be that way too.) When proofing read the article paragraph by paragraph from the bottom up; it's a great way to touch-up and catch many mistakes!
• There are spaces after an ellipsis... that is all (for now).

• So basically I like what I see, you got talent kid. It just looks like you need more time with writing/editing/proofing to come up to a professional level = time. Luckily noone here is all that professional. Don't be afraid to ask for a pee review once you've beaten an article to death. Upsilon Sigma Sigma July Newsletter

Well guys, its been exactly 5 billion years since I last did a newsletter and I thought doing one would be a good way to get everyone back into the fold for August. Big things on the horizon for August for Upsilon Sigma Sigma.

First thing's first: Welcome to our newest brothers, Maniac1075 and Happymonkey39! Hopefully you guys will stick around and become regular contributors to our little project here!

Secondly, unfortunately there wasn't really a July collaboration. That's partly my fault from being absent most of the month because of work. The June collaboration, Taco, that got roughly finished and reviewed around mid-July will be our collaboration for both months. Go ahead and head on over to the collaboration page to vote on whether we send the article to mainspace or not and be sure to nominate an article for the que, also found on the collaboration page.

Third, some asshole (cough MadMax) redirected weird to odd, but bad news for him; we're doing weird as our collaboration for August anyways. This one is going to be epic guys, like Tim Burton epic. I'd like an 'all hands on deck' turnout for this one. We'll begin sometime around August 1 or second. I was thinking the approach for the article should be from the perspective of a high school misfit who's unaware how weird he is describing other kids as being weird. or something... Once the collaboration page is up and running we'll hash it out on the discussion page.

Lastly, and I know I constantly pound this, we all need to start doing requested articles individually. This is supposed to be a big part of USS, but our frat has morphed into mainly a collaboration group. Lets try and focus on those individual requested articles over the next few months.

Looking forward to ramping this thing back into gear with you guys in August!

On my page, HELPME didn't like the Winkler tombstone and caption, to in-jokey although someone reading it won't know that at all, the way I formed it was to avoid an in-joke to someone who doesn't know. I knew someone would say that. You know i left out one very important fact in the contraversy. I did apologize on the dude review...just my internet must have crashed that day or something because it didn't go through. You know HELPME, im pretty sure ur not an admin, but to be honest, you really should be if your not. Sure i may find your approach on things a bit too harsh sometimes but no body is perfect.

But one thing i don't understand, is how you really think that it should have been a ban, UU has his opinion, fine, but i don't see how people can agree with his choice. I did apologize, and it was my first time i ever made a mistake in pee reviews. And he may have said go back and apologize, but he never said to go back and apologize and open the review. If he did i would completely understand, and a 1-3 hour ban may not have even been enough.

I still have a lot of things i want to tell him, but he seems nice, so i keep my mouth shut, and i was on the IRC. I was told that i didn't know when to shut-up. You would be surprised how many bad things i could have said to people. For instance I think Mordillo is just trying to do his job. But i don't know what he was thinking with the grue thing. The page was fine and barley touched for a year. So someone puts a rewrite tag on it and he goes and reverts it to a way older version...i don't get why, but now i have to live with it. And i loved that article, it made me laugh and laugh...not anymore.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was your second, both with the same person, ironically enough.

I think you may need to know a couple of Pee conventions. First, reviews have to be completed within 24 hours of booking- 48 hours at most and only when there's a significant issue that keeps you from doing the review in 24. Also, always apologize for not completing a review on the review page. That way, everyone sees it. UU explained why it's such a big issue to him on his talk page.

The truth is, you do kind of give a vibe that you're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too stubborn. An argument ends with an action. After the action is over and both sides have stated their opinions, any more discussion is just unnecessary drama. If you don't get what you want, well, you win some, you lose some. Don't continue.

That's the key, though. The opinions of active Uncyclopedians- especially admins- are usually weighed far more then people who haven't joined or at least been editing. If the people really care, well, they need to argue their own cases, as there's simply no way you can prove the opinions of those who don't state them.

Dear HELPME, it seems that my noob thinks you should be an admin. As much as this may have caused me to cringe in horror just a few short months ago... I think he may be right: seek my support if when the time comes.
