The following rant is a pathetic attempt by me, Mahm00shA, at writing an essay. This is mainly for noobs and I hope it helps by not getting them into the same shit I've one gotten myself into, when I was a noob... Ok. Here we go:
- Stuff that appears everywhere here, like Oscar Wilde, Chuck Norris, Kitten Huffing, Grues, Russian Reversal, and Mr. T is NOT cool nor funny. Those things were heavily overused and not really funny anymore. Among us sophisticated intelligentsia, we call this phenomenon cliché. Whatever, these subjects are worn out, near death, and in dire need of being huffed. Just please don't mention them unless you have a very, very good reason. Or if it's funny. And we mean funny.
- Another thing we hate is Random Humour. Elmer Fudd grabbed Hitler by the nose and took him to planet cheese because Obama is teh gheyzor is an Example of random humour. I once wrote shit like that myself, and I've lived to regret it..
- Humour is a subtle art. People DO have different tastes in humour. Some will tell you that toilet humour is just bad taste and others will find this kind of stuff the pinnacle of subversive irony. Anyways, just stay calm, have a good look at HTBFANJS, and try to learn what works best, because you can't please everybody.
- No one here will ban you as long as you don't impose your non-conformist ideas on already created stuff. Doing so, especially to stuff created by admins, may get you banned for a very long time.
- Needless to say, no cyberbullying and no dickish behaviour. They get you infinibanned.
- We may be a silly humour wiki but that doesnt mean that you can break the established laws of your locale. That is, no uploading hardcore porn, blood and gore or otherwise offesive images or material. Also, do not upload copyright protected stuff, especially music; don't upload your Metallica collection, you know who will sue.. However, you can upload a couple of songs by your shitty garage band or by one of them obscure acoustic black metal bands.
- 13375p34k and netspe@k are generally frowned upon here in Uncyclopedia. Using them will NOT earn you respect. You may be ridiculed by many users. We, the Uncyclopedia community, are not a community of leet haxxorz, we are - mostly - well educated people with full lives. If you want to earn some respect, use proper English. Slip in some French, German or Engrish for bonus points.
- Never recreate a deleted article. Never redo a reverted edit. Never.
- Never ever revert an admin.
- If one of your works ever finds its way to VFH, VFP, ..etc, or alternatively, you ever get nommed for the Whatever of The Month award, DO NOT whore for votes. Blatantly whoring for votes on other users' talk pages is a no-no, and will only get you more Against votes. Ask CheddarBBQ about the subject, he knows it best... Still, nudging a couple of your close friends (if you have any) is OK.
- When voting on VFH, make sure to ACTUALLY READ the article before voting. Give a proper reason for your For AND Against votes. Votes based on your love/hate for the author, kewlness/unkewlness of the title and so forth are likely to cause drama. We don't like drama, and we ban those who start dramathons. Seriously, don't cause drama. It crashes the universe
