Proof (plural Prooves)

1. a method of showing a fact to be undeniable (verb: to prove smth.). The following examples represent some unfailing proofs:

  • anyone with half a brain can see it is so
  • it's true because it's useful
  • it's true because nobody can disprove it
  • a holy book claims it is so
  • how dare you suspect me?
