Hi-LAR-ious!!! HAH! (cleans pee from floor under his chair) Zimbuddha.jpg Rev. Zim_ulator (Talk) I am the dirt under your rollers 16:10, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, Reverend, I didn't think so; just wanted to end the drought in which none of the articles (yes, including one of yours) had anything to do with the news!
For those who haven't followed this story, the real "crime" was kidnapping Haitian babies for eventual relocation to the US. The judge released the eight because no one could find any case where the babies were taken from their homes involuntarily. In many cases, the mothers knew exactly where they were going. (How-you-say Family Reunification Visa? Diversity Visa? Welfare under eleven assumed names?) The organizers of the "missionaries" are still in custody as they visited Haiti before the earthquake, inquiring as to how to adopt Haitian babies. The earthquake thing? well, as they say, "every crisis is an opportunity." (How about, "There's a sucker born every minute"?)
But the formal charges were lack of documentation, which gives rise to my comparison to New Orleans. In my opinion, apart from the Democrats' charges of incompetence, and Kanye West's accusation that Cheney bombed the levees to make all the water go to the Dark Side of Town, Bush's crime was that the US Government worked perfectly, imposing super-high standards for disaster relief which, like its environmental and wage-and-hour standards, don't raise us up but make the lowest go away. I speculated that that was at work here. All in all, perhaps too subtle for the average reader. But, again, necessary to get part of UnNews back to the day's headlines. Spıke ¬  17:38 18-Feb-10
