Wet-backs[edit source]

"Wet-backs," at the end of the third bullet in the list, is not a slur for Mexican. It is a slur for Mexicans with wet backs--that is, who "swam across" (although there is no river on the Arizona border)--that is, for border-jumpers. Anon thus substituted race for culpability; and I rolled him back. The embarrassment this sentence speaks of is not the embarrassment of being caught being a Latino but being caught jumping the border. I don't know if Anon is simply trying to make my language more P.C. or is actively trying to blur the distinction, as do so many advocates who slam the Arizona law as inherently racist. 1. Props for an awesome title.
  2. I don't get to say when a term is racist. People I'm referring to do. It's why I call them the "NFL team from Washington".
  3. I need this list to be longer, so I just threw something here.
  4. That really is a fantastic title.
  5. Profit!--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 22:09, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

California hypocrites[edit source]

From the state known to legally passed an initative to ban gay marriage and perfected the concept of internment camps of a whole ethnic groups during World War II, those wacky left-wing west coast Californians are always telling its neighboring states what to do. Look how many white Californians moved out into those states to get away from illegal immigration, high cost of living and politicians pulled by the strings of Hollywood. Who's laughing now?+ 71.102.11.193 02:26, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

My article does poke at Californians for their political evangelism into Arizona. It doesn't joke about the inherent hypocrisy of Californians (and, by the way, I think most of your attempts to stereotype are off the mark--internment during WW2 was a federal thing, though its largest effect was in California). But this is UnNews, damn it! If you think Californians are hypocrites, don't give a speech on a talk page of a mostly unrelated, two-week-old story; write your own! Spıke ¬ 02:41 14-May-10
