Australia is a lot closer to Iraq than you might think.

GREAT GOOGLYMOOGLY, Australia -- Australian Soccer was dealt a further blow after losing to Iraq in an 'Asian' Cup match. Australian Soccer, of course, having being cheated out of a place in the final 8 at the World Cup in Germany in 2006. Australian Prime Minister John Howhard could not be immediately reached for comment, but his spokesman said that John felt that Australia was winning the war on Soccer, and could not rule out sending more Socceroos to Asia. Howhard later said in an exclusive interview with Uncyclopedia that he would have to check with Dubya before making a decision on whether or not to send more Socceroos to the cause. Howhard also stated that he was still calling the pseudo-sport Soccer because everybody in Australia knows that the name 'Footyroos' would simply not have the same cache as Socceroos. So there. The loss now confirms that Australia doesn't care about Soccer, unless they beat Thailand and make it to the finals.
