The face of a paedophile? Probably.

In what comes as almost no surprise at all to anyone, Sir Cliff Richard is alleged to be a weird homosexual.

The accusations come after a string of other high profile broadcasters and entertainers in the UK have been on trial and charged for various degrees of sexual assault and rape.

Sir Cliff, 73, following the similar path of defence held by all the other recently convicted paedophiles, said the allegation against him was "completely false".

Richard’s sexuality has always been questionable with his priest like abstinence and his inability to confirm a sexual orientation to any degree of real clarity. The reasons why are finally being revealed.

In a televised police raid that in no way raises unsettling questions about the relationship between the police and the media, we can see them search through the house of Sir Cliff in an attempt to scour his belongings for evidence which could include images on a computer, incriminating messages on a phone or a small boy tied up in the basement. Some believe Cliff's song 'Living Doll' could provide clues as to where he keeps his sexual playthings.

There are concerns that the raid could uncover a swathe of material of a nauseating nature. If a back catalogue of unreleased music is indeed discovered there is the risk that these songs could be released into the public sphere.

It is understood police obtained a warrant after a complaint of sexual assault was made against the 73-year-old star dating back to 1985. The 73-year-old owns the penthouse in the exclusive Charters Development in Sunningdale, Berkshire. The striking house was built in the 1930s and described by Country Life as "One of the last great country houses to be built in Britain". Winston Churchill and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor are among its notable visitors and are now also suspects.

It is located just outside Ascot, Berkshire, around 9 miles away from Heathrow and 23 miles from the centre of London. Police investigating the property were able to enjoy a day of "spa facilities including indoor pool, gym and tennis court along with 24hr concierge, lifestyle and security services" according to Estate agent Frank Knight.

Cliff's one hope of salvation displaying that he too has a penchant for young naked boys.

Fans and friends of Cliff Richard have rushed to his defence. Long-time friend of Richard, Gary Glitter, spoke to reporters.

A friend said last night: “Sir Cliff and his team want explanations as to why the investigation has gone on for so long and why they burst into his home without warning.” I would suggest the obvious answer to that is because he is a child rapist and any warning would give him ample time to destroy any evidence, but this reporter would be guilty of libel should I suggest that this blatant sexual deviant is an active paedophile without any actual evidence, despite a lifetime of odd behaviour that makes it blindingly obvious.

Richard is keen to clear his name over the claims he assaulted a schoolboy at a Christian rally – which he says are “completely false” but I say are “emphatically plausible”.

All we can do now is wait, watching this sickening soap opera unfold with an unnecessary morbid fascination and thirst for justice that borders on bloodlust, as evidence against Cliff Richard undoubtedly stacks up. Will his God save him? Time will tell.
