This is the talk page for discussing improvements to Director.

Well having built a few lousy director articles, I came to appreciate how unwieldy this template was in its float-right form. So I got italic on y'alls asses and whomped it into shape. Now all the director articles using it are thrashed, and I am in the process of fixing them. But my back hurts and I am tired. If anyone would care to continue the good fight, please feel compelled to. The only problem with what I have done is all of the "as featured" versions are compromised. Is it possible to make the "as featured" versions use the template "as it was when featured"? Or is that a wiki issue that has never been addressed? Well, goodnight lovelies, it's 1:14am on the Olympic peninsula. --Globaltourniquet - (was TPLN) 08:14, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Just wondering[edit source]

Should we really include peeps who aren't actually directors, or are known for things other than directing. Billy Bob Thornton's only directed 3 films out of his long career, and I'm pretty sure Tom Green hasn't directed anything. --Matfen 20:08, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Tom Green did direct his American comedy feature film Freddy Got Fingered in the early 2000s, and unfortunately I saw that huge flop. Watching bad B-movies from the 1950s was more enjoyable than that. Has to be one of the worst films ever to be put in a movie theater. Green also did his MTV spoof in Japan, probably hoping he could make a film out of that, too. That bombed as well. --Izbeenoneweek 15:09, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
Sadly true. --Matfen 19:31, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Thoughts[edit source]

Vex ferments the humors, casts them into their right channels, throws eccentric redundancies, and helps feather in those confidential distributions, without which the body cannot subsist in its vigor, nor the typification act with cheerfulness.

True. --Matfen 19:31, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Where's Kubrick?[edit source]

How can you leave out Stanley Kubrick? He's a huge one to overlook. 2001; A Clockwork Orange; The Shining; Dr. Strangelove; Full Metal Jacket; Barry Lyndon; (ahem) Eyes Wide Shut. What gives? Black-2.jpg PF4Eva, the President of Imagination Vote for me My tax returns 22:21, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
