Talk:Team America: World Police

I just made this article self-contradictory. You can fix it if you like. My feeling is that it's funnier to say that it's a well-thought-out and valid criticism of american foreign policy than to just go the "Patriotic Film" path. --Spintherism 00:06, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I think it is funnier if you go the subtler more satirical route of praising it as a "Patriotic Film," though I have kept most of your changes and triead to incorporate them. BTW, I do think in all seroiusness that the film was equally critical of American foreign policy and those who have a knee-jerk anti-American world view.--Naughtyned 16:34, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)
I won't go into details about my problems with the film, suffice to say I agree with the points I assume it's trying to make, but believe it's sophomoric approach ends up setting those points back. The problem I have with taking the "Patriotic Film" approach, is that the film actually presents itself that way, making the "Patriotic Film" article nothing more than a regurgitation of the jokes already made in the movie and therefor neither original nor funny.--Spintherism 18:55, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)
It's not original - it's hard to make a parody of a parody (which is one reason why I sporked the Spinal Tap atricle, and why I believe the author of the JR "Bob" Dobbs article sporked that.) I think I've made it as funny as it could be, but if you want to make another attempt at making it funnier, have it at it. Do try to make it internally consistent this time, though.--Naughtyned 18:15, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Facts Detected[edit source]

It's supposed to be a parody, not a factual review. You could do OH so much more with this     EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank)      00:56, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

As I said before, it's hard to make a parody of a parody. You can edit it if you think you could do better. --Naughtius Maximus Leaf.jpg F@H Woof!Za slice.jpg MeowMUN 17:27, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
