From Pee Review[edit source]

  • Unmine article, meexpanded, meunbigged, mefixed. Good? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 08:58, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Not mine article but I expanded it, shrank the dictionary and fixed the Newspeak. Is it good now? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 08:58, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
    • Article doubleplusgood Ingsoc newspeak. BB watch article, is good duckspeak. --Cainad 12:43, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Expand, images, more Ingsoc? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 13:34, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Should I expand it, add images, add more to the Ingsoc section? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 13:34, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Hmm... adding images, if you can find good ones, would greatly improve the article. I don't think it needs to be greatly expanded, since the whole point of Newspeak is to uncreate crimethink by create stopthink (to prevent crimethink by being short, terse, and leaving no room for argument). I realize the temptation to fill it with in-jokes, but that's what happened to Oscar Wilde and Chuck Norris. The short comment about Uncyc's {{Crimethink}} and {{Minitrue}} templates is good enough. Plus, adding satirical references to 1984 would probably make the article way too long, so leave the links to Crimethink and Ingsoc in so the articles can be kept clean and terse, like they ought to be. The last thing we want to happen to 1984-related humour is for it to be Wilde'd. --Cainad 14:33, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
You're right...it doesn't need that much expansion. --Icons-flag-us.png SonicChao Babbel!Contribs 21:33, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
  • article misprints newspeak malused rewrite fullwise (Hey, that's kind of a made-up version of Newspeak. Maybe you should try again.)
ref 1984 ch 4 (Read Chapter 4 of the novel "1984". It might help.) -- Colonel Swordman 14:21, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Aah, but ch4 explains the Newspeak in 1984 (that is, provided I read the right section). It'd've progressed by then by 2006. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 15:07, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
  • article rectified fullwise (I fixed up the whole article and added a few things.) -- Colonel Swordman 17:21, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

ally/enemy[edit source]

I changed the ungood function which says that Eurasia is both an enemy and an ally, or Eastasia is both ungood and good. Now it will not say that Eurasia/Eastasia is ally/enemy at the same time.

Pictures[edit source]

There seem to be a shortage of pictures here. Any interest in these?

I love how much his logo looks like the Ingsoc logo  ;) -- Rei 18:30, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Someone (IE not me as I'm a cheapskate and never bought it >_>) could Photoshop Ingsoc in place of the Tom Vilsack names on the first piccy. Having both pictures would look messy and CRIMETHINK-ish. 212.219.142.161 11:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I take it you've never heard of Gimp? That's what I did all of my edits in. -- Rei 19:07, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Nope, but your numerous pictures are great. So... *procrastinates* 212.219.142.161 09:38, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Noob Quote[edit source]

Wouldn't this be better sourced as 13375P34K on Newspeak?

Can someone explain this to me?[edit source]

  • What the heck is this whole minitrue doublepluscrimethink ungood thing about? apparently it's this but what exactly is this? Jedibob5 02:43, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Newspeak made doubleplusgood by Ingsoc. George Orwell mark fulwise Newspeak (in Oldspeak duckspeak, plusungood) 1984.

Article DoublePlusGood![edit source]

Wouldn't it be best to change the "Featured" Image in on in the Newspeak article into either the phrase "doubleplusgood" or "duckspeak", or maybe both using the options template?

Also the following phrase...
