Dimensions of the Images[edit source]

Is there a way to change the dimensions of the images on here? For example, is there a way to make a picture more horizontal, but not any more vertical. Is there a way to do that? DAK4Blizzard 21:32, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Merge[edit source]

Merge with NHL? Rljenk 00:51, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

It would seem that a merger of the two leagues might not be a good idea in this case. The NHL article de-emphasizes the Hockey, focussing on the Fighting. The National Hockey League article is more about Hockey. Thus, there are two different viewpoknts on the league given by these articles. How would a merger of contents improve things? --Ogopogo 01:23, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I was just being anal-retentive. I'm much better now --Rljenk 03:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I know this is a year after the fact, however I moved the majority of the NHL article to here. In my opinion, I don't think there was enough to salvage from the original article (although I did keep several relavent sections) and simply moved its contents to here. If is looks better as seperate articles however, then feel free to revert the changes. MadMax 08:45, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Photo of cup[edit source]

It would be funnier if the Stanley Cup were an actual cup (like a drinking mug), maybe with a logo of the Habs or Maple Leafs on it.Rogpyvbc 22:53, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Separate Article on Hockey Players[edit source]

Should there be a separate article for hockey players? Currently, that section takes up a lot of space, and it makes the article a bit overwhelming. Between this article and the article on hockey, I think there's enough material for it. DAK4Blizzard 17:35, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I would recommend creating individual pages for the most notable players, then having a paragraph in this article containing links to all of them. As it is, the players section of this page looks very listy, which is something we generally try to discourage when possible. So the short answer would be "yes", but the long answer also gives a reason. You're welcome ;-) --UU - natter UU Manhole.gif 09:59, May 19

Same last names[edit source]

"U: No players on the ice can share the same last name unless it's Staal, Kozlov, Neidermayer, Ruutu, or Blake."

What no Sutter? Really? There is only 83 of them at any given time on the ice.
