Cherry Cake?[edit source]

I know a lot of sites filled with shock images, but I can't say I've ever heard of any "Cherry Cake". Since I'm a sap for visual pain, I'd like a link. I was able to handle the entirity of Moid in a span of merely 2 days with my retinas intact, I doubt that Cherry Cake could be too bad. --Nintendorulez | talk 21:31, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Talk to the Village Idiot, he won't stop sending the link to me, and I refuse to type it in by hand, out of fear I'll click it (I've seen shocking images, thank you).--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 22:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Take a look at here. [1]--Tache 11:10, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Does someone want to make a custom ArticleFH tag for this page? --—rc (t) 04:17, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm... that was short-lived, well sort of: ArticleFH is deprecated with the creation of FA, so the custom text has been cut-and-pasted into a copy of the new template. --Carlb 18:35, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Featured?[edit source]

How did this crap get to be featured? It's just a cheap ripoff of the Do not Press This Red Button flash thing that's been lurking around the web for a few years now.

Even that wasn't funny so much as it was boring.

This is the author. Thank you for your comments. This article seems to make polarize people, as they either love it or hate it. There was a story behind it... well, the short version is that I clicked goatse by being too curious. This article was written right afterward, from a "once bitten, twice shy" POV. The click links were added later by a different author, and I think they're more an homage to the link you provided than a "cheap rip-off", but I don't know any better than you do. The editor that added that could have just come up with a similar idea on their own, and it doesn't go to the extent of that red button link because he the joke dies after a certain point. That's my take on it, anyway. Thanks for reading my article!--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 18:41, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
LOTS of games have been made in the style of Red Button. Given the text and such are substantially different, and it uses the kind of things that could only be done with a wiki, I would hardly call it a "cheap ripoff". --Nintendorulez | talk 23:16, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
One rarely comes across red buttons, and hence one is relatively safe. But links... links are everywhere, it's near impossible to hide from links. Wikis have links everywhere, they're like a warzone. Bloopy icon.png Bloopy 08:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
And even if it was a "ripoff", as you claim, what about the main article? That's an excellent article. Besides, one prime difference between this and Red Button is how Red Button loops at the end, while this can just get longer and longer. Those who click to the end can add their own next bits. And there's a lot of Uncyc in-jokes, and wiki tricks involved (such as the parts where you have to manually change the URL. --Nintendorulez | talk 18:44, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Keys[edit source]

Is using keys to navigate links just as dangerous as clicking them? Just curious. Bloopy icon.png Bloopy 12:50, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

In all honesty, I'm too gunshy to even attempt it. You can feel free, and let me know how it turns out, but don't say I didn't warn you. Links, like dirty bombs, are difficult to handle, and handling them at all could doom you in the end. It's up to you, you're taking your life in your hands. I got up to click 5, where it say a Goatse will be planted on the next page. (Is there really a Goatse there?)--Nelson340 19:02, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

I got up to click 100.

It wouildn't be any fun if I told you, would it? (And there'd better not be, there wasn't the last time I checked...)--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 19:27, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
No, it's harmless. So far, at least... --User:Nintendorulez 19:43, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, would a user get banned if he added a picture from a shock site to an article? --Testicles 21:51, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes. The article's intent is to serve as a paranoid warning, where you're always expecting to run into something shocking, but never do.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 22:56, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't believe you.
There should be at least one goatse. Or better yet, this ingenious plan...

Try a GIF image that stays the same for like 60 seconds and then changes to Goatse. Muhahaha!

There is one, on goatse site's contribs section, called Magic Eye which changes after 16 seconds. Don't ask me how I know that.

The FDR Quote[edit source]

The "Quote" from FDR on the main page appears to have been taken from "Our Dumb Century" a book by the publishers of The Onion either in part or whole, shouldn't it be sourced? It likely qualifies as fair use and/or parody, but I just thought I'd mention... 129.89.68.218 01:32, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

So if it's true that none of the links are actually "bad"...[edit source]

... shouldn't the "Warning" go to the next level, and the article be put in total permanant lockdown? Otherwise, the gag doesn't quite work, because someone's always bound to link it to goatse or wherever. Or am I missing something?--Lenoxus 18:29, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, certain people are watching this article to make sure that doesn't happen. We're doing what we can to ensure that doesn't happen without completely shutting down the page.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 19:16, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Come to think of it, what I was missing was my faith in the Internet community. Thanks. --Lenoxus 21:37, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I suddenly have deja vu...[edit source]

Hmm... just wondering, isn't that picture of windows crashing from uncyclopedia? hehe, I also love it. 124.120.117.222 06:32, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh, wait. I thought I was still on Wikipedia. These goddamn links are so seamless! 124.120.117.222 06:34, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

WHAT![edit source]

Why is it it just ends at 7. I used search and found 8 whichs goes to 15 I think. Then I serached for 16 and when to...33(?) And kept going. I think it stops somewhere in the 50s. And there are ones in between that aren't even created. Why not create them all and just link them all together until the last one! Then say that it is the last one. Eh? 68.239.241.213 23:22, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Because it's funny to see who would editsthe URL or search for #8, going to a ridiculous length just to see the end of the game.81.96.167.246 21:39, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

As they say on Wikipedia "Be italic when editing pages." I don't know what it means, but I guess you can, or whatever.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 11:13, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

How come there's only 115 clicks? And I think there should be a more interesting ending to this game. 65.92.127.31 17:05, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Huh?[edit source]

Exactly what DOES happen when you click on a link in the article? You guys just act like it's a game, don't click on the links, or you lose. It's like a test of curiosity. Oh, wait, it IS a test of curiosity.

First, please sign your posts. Second, you're actually SUPPOSED to click the links. --Invincibleflamegruemaster 04:54, Nov 15 2009

What happened to the game?[edit source]

Seriously, the whole thing is gone, making the article somewhat pointless... it was somewhat amusing to be honest, but it's all gone, all of it.. why? seriously, why? --71.72.61.144 22:44, January 2, 2011 (UTC)
