Economics[edit source]

Yeah, sorry, I was just going to go straight from the concept that air conditioning allows skyscrapers to the concept of the people that work in skyscrapers evolving by suicide, but I realised that the context of the article allows me to explain the fact that air conditioning allows for skyscrapers in terms of the air actually being worked harder so that it could cover more volume and then buildings could be built bigger, then I thought of the whole "sky scrapers" semi-pun, 'maybe they could be there to clean all this extra air', and so I got a bit carried away. It's almost a separate article really, but I think part of its funny comes from the fact that it does describe the economic effects of air conditioning, only in a very long-winded and tenuous way. So I like it how it is. But then I have a very weird sense of humour. I'm sure people don't mind reading long things, and 'featured-article status' which we're supposed to have been nurturing this thing to achieve practically demands it. --Carlos the Mean 06:37, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)
In"air"e or In"air"ane[edit source]
Which is better? I started with inaire for a direct replacement of human in inhumane to air in inaire. But, in inairane sounds better. What does everyone else like? --Mosquitopsu 16:39, 2 Nov 2005 (UTC)
We talk about "inhumane" treatment of animals, so keep inhumane. On the other hand, this is an issue of anemal rights (anema- is the Greek prefix for wind). So just choose your pun.

I like inaire better, it took me a few seconds to get it, but when I did I literally laughed out loud, whereas inairane is a bit obvious. Obvious things are usually less funny. --Carlos the Mean 06:31, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)
