Paraffin

Paraffin is an ancient fuel, found only in Britain. It is used by gardeners, allegedly for heating greenhouses. Paraffin fumes are highly addictive and gardeners are often found unconscious or dead in their greenhouses. They may be surrounded by empty whisky bottles but these are a red herring. Heating greenhouses causes global warming so the European Union (EU) has banned it. This is why Britain voted to leave the EU on 23 June 2016. The EU ban is a clear breach of the common law that "an Englishman's greenhouse is his castle, so don't throw stones at it".
