Like what I said (typed, whatever) on Forum:Archives, some of the furum topics are pointless being kept. Mostly the Village Dump topics where the author of the topic was simply told to go to VFD, QVFD, VFP, Image Review, Pee Review, RadicalX's Corner etc, are pointless, and in my opinion should be deleted. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 16:55, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, but you'd delete half the wiki if given a chance.  >Major Sir Hinoa|Talk|KUN   19:46, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Ok, so if we don't delete "ye olde forume topicks" then we should at least bother to use them instead of randomly abandoning a topic mad-way through discussion. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 16:01, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
I am pondering if we should just categorize them into [[Category:(FORUM NAME)/Archive]] or such, then we never have to look at them in the indexes. Later they could be deleted (and easily recreated). {{Forumheader}} could be changed to do this, with a simple parameter, eg {{Forumheader|Village Dump|Archive}} to recategorize it and leave a big message stating it was an archive and that it shouldn't be edited unless it is unarchived (easy). Thoughts? --Splaka 05:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
For. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 14:44, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
What for? Being in the last pages it's alredy like being archived. An archive "shouldn't be edited unless it is unarchived", well that's what is currently happening. Nobody edits the old topics, unless they do, and by doing so, topics get easily unarchived. If it bothers you so much having the backpages still in the forum, then after page 5 you could link to more..., where you could easily find all the topics from 6 to infinite, but without changing the category so they could easily get unarchived.---Asteroid B612B612.jpg (aka Rataube) - Ñ 16:13, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
