I look through a lot of stuff in the new pages page, and a lot of smaller articles that are stupid I end up deleting. However, a lot of these articles have been tagged NRV. Even though this is the case, I can't bring myself to wait 7 days because they have absolutly no chance, they are vanity or there is something else so I huff them. Is this wrong? Should I be waiting? I dont get why we tag so much stuff NRV when IMO most of it should be deleted on the spot, because it's obviously not gonna go anywhere, and in some cases shouldnt go anywhere for the good of mankind. I'm a deletionist, so I say delete whatever you want (to delete), whenever you want (to delete (the articles you want (to delete))). ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 14:54, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
If it's vanity, or some sub-stub that accidentally got tagged, go ahead and delete. Remember, an article can always be recreated if necessary, and all deletions are reversable. HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 15:29, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Some of the frequent NRV taggers have no tools to delete them on spot, and NRVing is much more comfortable than QVFDing. But I guess they won't mind if you delete them on spot.---Asteroid B612B612.jpg (aka Rataube) - Ñ 19:58, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Personally, I think its better if crap is just deleted instantly. Why keep useless vanity and one-liners around? -- Sir C America...Fuck Yeah!!!! Holla | CUN 20:22, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I used to have a policy of dumping links to vanity and one liners into IRC, but since the admins seem to lurk most of the time, I find myself using QVFD more often. If you have an IRC client, it might be a good idea to point out undeleted articles in QVFD to active admins, aswell. Oh and wacky, I agree that you should huff the ones you mentioned. --The Zombiebaron 12:23, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

As a steadfast anti-deletionist, I beg you to think of the children. I mean terrorists. Uh, does NRV really mean "you have to wait a week to delete this"? Nobody ever told me that. In fact, I was under the distinct impression that NRV meant "you'll be damn lucky if an admin doesn't delete this in the next two hours". In latin. That's why it can be abbreviated NRV. I think users should tag QVFD'ables somehow similar to NRV so we can burninate them more easily. Tagging is important for upkeep, imho. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 06:06, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

It isn't easier: reasons not to QVFD tag (a short novella). --Splaka 06:35, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
