If you have an account, search for "Uncyclopedia" in groups. Look for the one with the picture of Oscar Wilde. Crazyswordsman 22:38, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. I need some ideas for our photo album. A Grue, perhaps? Crazyswordsman 04:01, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
It's aboot time, eh? -- Tinymooose.gif » Sir Savethemooses Grand Commanding Officer ... holla atcha boy» 04:11, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
I made a map, place yourselves on it, so we can know where the uncyclopediands are from. Do we have more Brits or more Americans? Canadians have really taken over? What about all those weird other countries? It's time to find out. And lets help the CIA to strike us faster.---Asteroid B612B612.jpg (aka Rataube) - Ñ 10:05, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Maybe we should put a one day banner on the Main Page to advertise said map? --The Zombiebaron 15:22, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Whoo! I joined, do I get something? --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 15:47, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
You get the honor of joining. Crazyswordsman 15:49, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Dunno. The map is going to be rather incomplete if you announce it on just one of the twenty-three languages. Many of the server locations and countries are going to be accounted for only on the other Babble: projects, not en:. That Poland, Germany, Brazil, Taiwan, Scandinavia and a few other places didn't even get one li'l blue dot looks odd if those languages all have active, growing Uncyclomedia projects. --Carlb 16:02, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, I started it thinking of the english uncyc only, we have alredy had one for Spanish uncyc for months now. We could make two (en and general), or make different colours for participants of different uncycs.---Asteroid B612B612.jpg (aka Rataube) - Ñ 18:10, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
I didn't know there even was a Spanish one. As Google makes a "include a map on your site..." API available, the maps could be hidden anywhere. Still, methinks we would run out of colours before we run out of Uncycs. --Carlb 22:10, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Anyway, could we at least link to it from the Community Portal? Meanwhile, people: JOIN THE MAP---Asteroid B612B612.jpg (aka Rataube) - Ñ 22:57, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't have a login because I was a college student way before it was created... However, I might add myself to the map. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 06:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Alumni can sign up on Facebook too, I think - you just need an .edu email address. I finally added a link to Rataube's map on the Community Portal. Maybe once we get the PLS stuff off the front page we can put up a link from the front page for a bit. —rc (t) 16:53, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Alumni...email? Since when? Hell, they could barely handle email addresses for current students back then. I was lucky because I was in a department that was closely tied to the IT management. Most students when I was in school didn't even have email addresses, let alone school email addresses, laptops, and wireless. When I was in school wireless was a luxury only seen in corporate America, the school didn't even get a working wireless network until a couple years after I last set foot there... Dorms were wired, too, which is almost never seen anymore. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 17:49, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Er, yeah. Forgot that bit. Maybe they have a different setup for people lacking .edu addresses? Seems like there should be some way to let in older alumni. —rc (t) 20:53, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry the stupid thing wants me to have an email address of a college, high school, or work, and I don't have an email from any of their "supported" elite groups. I guess since I am not a worshipper of Moloch or a bohemian I cannot join their inner circle. Now I am going to boycott them with fury. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 23:46, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Heck, back in my day they wouldn't let undergrads anywhere near an outside network connection. Not that we weren't modern for those days... the campus even had one laser printer. BITNET? It existed back then, supposedly, with the link from the campus' one IBM3180 mainframe to the net being equivalent to one dial-up modem worth of bandwidth... and dial-up modems were coal-powered back then. They just wouldn't let most of the students ever use it, by a decision of the University Senate, who had chosen to ban all undergrad access from the university's computer to outside anything for half a decade because of three students (who quickly became former students) who had somehow gotten into the Mounties' computer in early 1984. If the young whippersnappers these days only knew... --Carlb 16:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
