I propose a ceremonially banning of 62.252.224.14, creator of euroipods and the ultimate person to blame when it comes to anything involving the article. If we are to ban him, it should be done as ceremonially as possible. We need a template, a picture, a list of signatures, and most importantly it should be done on December 31, 2006 at 11:59 PM UTC (to signify the beginning of an entire year without Euroipod-related disputes. However, before I completely dedicate myself to this idea and get into all of the planning and whatever, I'd like to gauge everyone's opinion of the idea, and hopefully some more suggestions as well. Hell yeah. --User:Nintendorulez 03:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
But the war would still continue until everyone gets what they want with the article. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 03:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
My DMZ plan would probably do this, but I requested it deleted as I wouldn't think that it would be taken so far. But if we must have a sacrificial lamb in all this it should be the guy who expanded the article instead of putting it on QVFD. --~ Tophatsig.png 03:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

This is the sort of Uncyclopedic response that I would expect. Strong for. Although I might be busy then. You're scheduled to be on the job that night, I take it? Bone F clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 12/3 04:21

Let that fucker burn. --Algorithm 04:28, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

I think every single admin should ban it infinitely. And all would be right with the world! I may be busy at that time, though. I think there's something on. Spang talk 04:39, 3 Dec 2006

I may be busy, maybe not. Even if I am, I'm sure I could use someone's computer for a couple minutes. HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 04:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

And who was the guy who "expanded the article"?

The crucial "expansion of the article" would of course refer to this edit. It was the only edit ever made by 158.152.169.182 (TalkContribs (del)Block (rem-lst-all)WhoisCityProxy?WP Edits), a London-based IP that resolves to dainter.demon.co.uk, a personal subdomain held by none other than Jason Dainter, the co-owner of Eurogiveaways Ltd., who operate a series of free sites located at Eurogiveaways.com. One of them is Euroipods.com. Don't believe me? Read an interview with him, here. What I'm saying is nothing less than that this man, the co-owner of Euroipods.com himself, Jason Dainter, is the main who put the first testimonial into our Euroipods article, the one that until just an hour ago, was attributed to "Nin" by User:Mhaille, two edits later, after User:Codeine had tried to remove it.

This, my friends, is the sum of what we've all been arguing endlessly about, lo these many months. The start of all our problems. So... Children of Jason Dainter, anyone?  c • > • cunwapquc? 05:05, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes! Kill him! Kill him as well! Kill him and feed his corpse to the dogs! --General Insineratehymn 05:09, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

OMGWTFROTFLMAOZEDONG!!1! detective mhaille does it again! i say, hunt this dainter guy, sysop him, give him all powers and then ban him indefinitely. that should teach him. -- mowgli 06:38, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Wait a minute... I'm the detective, aren't I? Mhaille can't be the detective. Maybe it's time to change the sig, finally.  c • > • cunwapquc? 07:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
woops! i didn't read the whole comment in my excitement & thought mhaille was the poster of that comment (couldn't be codeine 'cos he's on leave...some logic, eh?). mhaille, au contraire, is villain #3. dainter villain #2 and 62.252.224.14 villain #1 in this whole episode. great job, detective SU! -- mowgli 14:07, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

And that's not all!

The original poster's IP address, 62.252.224.14 (TalkContribs (del)Block (rem-lst-all)WhoisCityProxy?WP Edits) is another UK-based address, resolving to leed-cache-3.server.ntli.net, based in Leeds, UK. (Hmm, not far from Liverpool... must be a coincidence.) It's an ISP, NTL Internet Ltd., based in Newport, Gwent. This company is a known spammer, first added to the list linked to there on the 14th of April, 1999, "due to excessive porn spam in Alt.sexual.abuse.recovery." Meanwhile, our page for this IP currently is a link to another user, User:Buggernaut, who claims to have either sporked or authored quite a few other articles under the IP address 193.63.87.227 (TalkContribs (del)Block (rem-lst-all)WhoisCityProxy?WP Edits), which belongs to (wait for it...) a UK-based proxy server, known as the "JANET IP Service." JANET is an acronym for the Joint Academic NETwork, aka "The UK's Education and Research Network." Make of that what you will. The chain of evidence is very flimsier in this case, so I wouldn't care to speculate much further than that.  c • > • cunwapquc? 05:40, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Of course. In return for money and reffering freinds to do the same! - Sikon 07:48, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Leeds is miles away from Liverpool. And so is Newport. Zing. -- Hindleyite Converse?pedia 13:02, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Maybe, but you have to remember that we're used to much longer distances here in the United States. I'd assume this would also be true of Australia... For example (and note that these are map distances, not road distances — primary communications lines tend to follow roads, so the wire distances in a Midwestern state, where roads all tend to be strictly NSEW in terms of direction, would probably be greater than between two UK cities):

Distance between Des Moines, IA and Cedar Falls, IA: 85 miles (137 km)
Distance between Leeds, UK and Liverpool, UK: 63 miles (102 km)

Close enough for me!  c • > • cunwapquc? 18:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

That is true, and you have a point there. But remember that the UK is much smaller than the US and Australia. But I'm being picky here now, so I'm going to shut up (Mainly because I am suspicious of why you mention Liverpool, where I am currently - I'd best keep quiet). -- Hindleyite Converse?pedia 18:44, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Tellyawhut, I'll shut up too. I'm not exactly following the "enough is enough" rule here, am I? I've got to get busy writing this article on Jason Dainter — I somehow feel that I'm the only one here who can truly give it the treatment it deserves... It'll be just like the Matt Cutts article in terms of irrational hyperbole, only exactly the opposite approach...  c • > • cunwapquc? 19:06, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

This is gonna kick ass

I couldn't think of a better way to usher in the new year than to ceremonially ban the creator of the worst ever featured article Euroipods at the coming of 2007, but uhh....don't you guys have something better to do on New Year's Eve, like I dunno, being with friends and family, celebrating, counting down those final seconds, etc? Either I'm not accounting for timezones, or you guys are seriously in need of social lives. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!)
