WELL, HAVE I GOT GREAT NEWS FOR YOU!
You see, there is JUST such an invention! It's called "patrolled edits"! When a user checks out a recently-edited page on RC, he or she has the option to mark that page "patrolled" -- that is, "approved"! In other words, if it's a legitimate edit, and you mark it "patrolled", nobody else needs to check it! Unpatrolled edits will show up on RC with a ! (red exclamation mark)! You can even filter out patrolled edits from the RC page, just like we can already do with bot edits, user edits, IP edits, etcetera!
Think of the hours saved by not having to do redundant checks of IP edits that someone else has already checked!

Wouldn't we all? Sorry, though, patrolled edits won't give you any of those things. HOWEVER, they WILL free up some of the time you currently spend doing redundant checks on RC. With all the spare time you'll now have, you could...

...You didn't! You see, for reasons known only to God, Satan, and Wikia, Uncyclopedia's "patrolled edits" function is turned off. Or, to be more accurate, it is turned on only for Special:NewPages, and only sysops can use it!

Yes, you read that correctly. Uncyclopedia is missing a perfectly useful technology that would make everyone's life easier...for reasons known only to God and Wikia! Hurray!
"BUT HOW DO WE FIX THIS?!"
Simple! We hold a vote ("groan...") to show community consensus. Then some idiot contacts Wikia, a staff-member swings by, and after a short, painful procedure, all users with roll-back privileges will have the ability to mark recent page edits as patrolled! Yay!
And THIS is where we vote...
...to turn on "patrolling" for this wiki, and allow users with rollback privileges (and higher) to mark pages as "patrolled".

- Neutral If it happens I'll see what the cheers are about then. It really doesn't hurt looking at the pages, this familiarizes the people looking with the articles, and I usually find new pics to categorize or something, or a quick quote or two to delete. - Rollback appears to clear the list needing to be checked, but undo does not, which is a shame as obviously using undo with a comment explaining why you are "doing the undo" is far better. It's not the undoing of us though, as we can still click the patrolled button, and then click undo. Also, sysop edits are auto patrolled, it just looks like they are not if you look back in RC past when they turned it on. this is apparently some stuff about stuff. MrN 17:26, Apr 25
