The ancients were endowed with many blessings. Among them: cosmic foreknowledge of divine secrets, the wisdom to discover the path to immortality, and - what was probably the greatest blessing of them all - their inhuman freedom from the most painful form of mortal man's insecurity.

But even bestowed with these bountiful gifts, they queued and knelt to satisfy the one force their comprehensive packages could not anticipate, dominate, or resist craving: crazy.

These Classical figurines, discovered in ruins long since destroyed to make way for a strip mall, florist, and superstore hair and nail salon, reenact the hierarchy of their sacred rites, which were commonly said by the culture's men to be an allegory for entire fated course of man's life.
