Poetry is the European art of either complaining about how much you hate your life in rhyme, or making oneself sound thoroughly homosexual by the act of writing.

Poetry has been practiced since the early 1200's when an English verbalist discovered that the words "cat" and "hat" rhyme. It has been published and devoured by the worldwide media since then, notably by poets such as Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, Dr. Suess, William Shakespeare, and the adorable, animated rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

Most used styles of poetry include free verse, rhyme, Haiku, and emo poetry.
