This page is for organizing and managing a rebuild of Uncyclopedia:Timeline.

Current Status[edit | edit source]

Organizing and deciding how we want to tackle the issue of rebuilding the timeline before we dive into things. Please head over to User talk:Gwax/Timeline rebuild to discuss plans.

Organizing ans decisions have been made, please begin claiming and rewriting the articles from the list below, using the appropriate guidelines.

Guiding Questions[edit | edit source]

Following are the big open questions about how to proceed in rebuilding the Timeline. If you have a personal question or logistics detail question, please ask on the talk page but if you have a question about the structure or plans for the rebuild, ask it here.

  • How long a timespan should the timeline cover?
  • How should we organize pages within the timeline?
  • How should we unify individual pages in the timeline?
  • How should we differentiate between years and numbers?

Planned Solutions[edit | edit source]

This section is for planned solutions. If you have ideas, please discuss them on the talk page. Once ideas have been vetted, they will end up here.

All of the below ranked pages will be rewritten and semi-protected. The following templates have been added and should be placed on their appropriate page types {{year nav|yearnum}} {{decadebox|decadenum}} {{centurybox|centurynum}} {{millenniumbox|millniumnum; they have been stolen from wikipedia and you should seek the originals for usage instructions. Each article needs to be claimed by an author (or few) rewritten and marked as complete. Once the articles below are marked complete, I will semi-protect them. After we have rewritten the below articles, we will go about creating all of the necessary redirects (and semi-protecting those, as needs be). Articles outside the accepted timespace (2nd millenia BC to now) will be ignored for right now and attended to later.

Various other bits and pieces have been mentioned on the talk page; follow your gut feeling about those trends and feel free to continue discussing matters there.
